Winter bruschetta with arrabbiata and mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 280 g of ARRABBIATA ready sauce
  • Mozzarella
  • Bread at your choice
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Extra virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt

Method

  • Combine  the tomato sauce  with the garlic and stir occasionally on a medium heat.
  • Arrange pieces of bread on a baking sheet and place the sheet in the middle of the oven to toast the bread. Allow 1 to 2 minutes at 230°C  or remove when golden brown.
  • Top each piece of bread with approximately 2 or 3  teaspoon of the tomato sauce.  (The quantity depends from the size of your bread) . Then top the mixture with some small cubes of mozzarella cheese.
  • Place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven to melt the cheese, approximately 1 minute or until slightly melted.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle the top with fresh chopped basil leaves and serve warm.
